The Spinsters of Horror, Jess and Kelly, flew onto the scene in July of 2018 to assist in filling the void of female voices in podcasting with their show I Spit on Your Podcast. As women, they knew that the genre was dominated by the masculine perspective, so they felt it was important to celebrate, and encourage, female horror fans, while at the same time remaining inclusive to all who love what horror has to offer. 

 

In 2022, they broadened the cinematic scope of the show to include their deepening interests in multiple areas of film such as Japanese Cyberpunk and the female necrophiliac. Jess and Kelly now discuss horror, cult, and subversive movies with thoughtful analysis, research and passion. 

 

Since the inception of the podcast, they have expanded their approach to film by sharing their insights through online engagement with the horror community, getting published in places like Grim Magazine and Horror Homeroom, podcast appearances, and more. 

 

​In December 2025, after over seven years of terrorizing the audio waves, the Spinsters of Horror & I Spit on Your Podcast came to an end.  With life changes, comes change in directions, Jess retired from the podcasting realm but Kelly continues forward with Kelly's Taboo Terrors.
